52 - VIOLATION AND PENALTY
Section:
Any person, partnership, association, firm or corporation who violates the provisions of Title 17 shall be liable for a prosecuted as a Class I civil infraction under Chapter 1.18. Each day that a violation exists shall constitute a separate infraction. Failure or refusal to pay any fine imposed by a judge in a civil infraction proceeding or failure or refusal to comply with a judge's order of correction in an infraction proceeding shall be prosecuted criminally as a contempt of court pursuant to RCW Chapter 7.21. Any criminal liability shall be in addition to any civil liability set forth above. Alternatively, the city in its discretion may prosecute any violation as a nuisance under Chapter 8.45 of this code. In that event, the procedures and penalties set forth in that section shall apply.
