2100. - PENALTY FOR VIOLATION
Any person or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this article or fail to comply therewith any of the requirements thereof, or who shall build or alter any building in violation of any detailed statement or plan submitted and approved hereunder or who shall occupy or use any land or building without a certificate of occupancy, in a manner not authorized by the certificate of occupancy applicable to such land or buildings, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be liable to a fine in accordance with the general penalty provision found in section 1-6 of this Code; and each day such violation shall be permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. The owner or owners of any building or premises or part thereof, where anything in violation of this article shall be placed, or shall exist, and any architect, builder, contractor, agent, person, or corporation employed in connection therewith and who may have assisted in the commission of any separate offense and upon convictions thereof shall be fined as herein provided.
