62 O-D PRIMITIVE AREA DISTRICT
§ 18.62.010 Intent.
The O-D district is intended to provide for protection and enhancement of primitive areas and areas of significant natural importance or value within the county, and to ensure that the uses permitted are not subject to intrusion by noncompatible uses. No permanent structures for human habitation or shelter shall be allowed.

§ 18.62.020 Applicability.
The regulations set out in this chapter shall apply in all O-D districts and shall be subject to Chapters 18.102 through 18.108 of this title.

§ 18.62.030 Uses allowed by right.
Uses allowed by right in an O-D district:
(1)
Agricultural uses;
(2)
Hunting, fishing and outdoor recreational pursuits;
(3)
Mineral exploration, but not the removal of minerals, earth, or construction materials;
(4)
Timber production and harvesting.

§ 18.62.040 Uses allowed by use permit.
Uses allowed by use permit in an O-D district:
(1)
Excavation of minerals, earth or construction materials, whether or not any such excavated minerals, earth or construction materials are intended for use or disposal off site;
(2)
Hydroelectric power plants.
