This chapter may, from time to time, be amended by the Mayor and City Council after a public hearing and a recommendation of the Planning Commission in accordance with the statutes of the state.
§ 156.391 PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING AND RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED.
The Planning Commission shall hold 1 public hearing on every amendment to this chapter. No action on any amendment shall be taken by the Mayor and City Council until a recommendation of the Planning Commission has been received.
§ 156.392 FEE FOR APPLICATION FOR ZONING CHANGE OR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT.
Before any action shall be taken on a proposed change in zoning or on a request for conditional use permit, the applicant shall deposit with the City Clerk the fee for same established by resolution of the City Council.
A petition for amendment, supplement, change, modification or repeal of provisions of this chapter shall be filed with the city's Planning Department at least 15 calendar days prior to a regular Planning Commission meeting. The city's Planning Department shall notify the City Clerk, who shall fix a time for hearing before the Planning Commission and a time for hearing before the City Council and shall thereupon give notice as provided by state statute. All such applications that are denied cannot be resubmitted for a period of 1 year.
