36 COMMERCIAL TWO DISTRICT C-2

§ 18.36.010 Intent.

The intent of the C-2 district is to provide an area for highway-oriented commercial uses. Areas typical of this district are along major arterials.

§ 18.36.020 Uses allowed outright.

In the C-2 district the following uses and their accessory uses and structures are allowed outright:

Eating and drinking establishments;

Farm supply centers;

Frozen food lockers;

Gift shops;
O. 
Hazardous waste treatment and storage facility, on-site;

Home occupations as permitted by Chapter 18.68 OMC;

Laundries and cleaning businesses;

Medical buildings;

Micro processing/manufacturing establishments as permitted by Chapter 18.66 OMC;

§ 18.36.030 Uses allowed by conditional use permit.

In the C-2 district the following uses and their accessory uses and structures are allowed by conditional use permit issued in accordance with Chapter 18.92 OMC:

Auto rentals;

Auto dealerships;
D. 
Farm equipment dealerships;
E. 
Lumber and building supply stores;
F. 
Mobile/manufactured home dealerships;
G. 
Parks;
H. 
Private clubs and lodges;
I. 
Public buildings;
J. 
Radio stations;
K. 
Recreational facilities;
L. 
Recreational vehicle parks;
M. 
Shopping centers and malls;
N. 
Theaters and auditoriums;
O. 
Utilities and communication structures;
P. 
Veterinarian clinics.

§ 18.36.040 General standards.

Chapters 18.56 through 18.84 OMC, inclusive, list general standards that apply to uses and structures within this district.

§ 18.36.050 Exceptions.

Nonconforming residential uses existing at the time of the adoption of the ordinance codified in this title may be enlarged, expanded or replaced upon the issuance of a conditional use permit in accordance with Chapter 18.92 OMC.
