CHAPTER 18

40 COMMERCIAL THREE DISTRICT C-3

§ 18.40.010 Intent.

The intent of the C-3 district is to provide for areas that have services needed by the traveling public.

§ 18.40.020 Uses allowed outright.

In the C-3 district the following uses and their accessory uses and structures are allowed outright:
Auto rental;
Auto service stations;
Bakeries;
Barber and beauty shops;
Churches;
Day care centers (agency);
Day care centers (family);
Eating and drinking establishments;
Gift shops;
Hazardous waste treatment and storage facility, on-site;
Home occupations as permitted by Chapter 18.68 OMC;
Hotels;
Laundries and cleaning businesses;
Medical buildings;
Motels;
Multifamily residences as a planned unit development;
Produce outlets;
Professional buildings;
Retail stores;
Tourist information centers.

§ 18.40.030 Uses allowed by conditional use permit.

In the C-3 district the following uses and their accessory uses and structures are allowed by conditional use permit issued in accordance with Chapter 18.92 OMC:
Carwashes;
Parks;
Public buildings;
Public utilities facilities;
Radio stations;
Recreational facilities;
Recreational vehicle parks;
Shopping centers and malls;
Theaters and auditoriums;
Transportation facilities;
Truck stops.

§ 18.40.040 General standards.

Chapters 18.56 through 18.84 OMC, inclusive, list general standards that apply to uses and structures within this district.

§ 18.40.050 Exceptions.

Nonconforming residential uses existing at the time of the adoption of the ordinance codified in this title may be enlarged, expanded or replaced upon the issuance of a conditional use permit in accordance with Chapter 18.92 OMC.
