SECTION 14

B-2 - GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT

§ 14.1 General Purpose and Description.

The B-2 General Business District is intended to provide a zoning category similar to the B-l District, except that additional uses are permitted which are not generally carried on completely within a building or structure and an expanded range of service and repair uses is permitted.

§ 14.2 Permitted Uses.

A building or premise shall be used only for the following purposes:
14.2.1 
Any use permitted in the preceding R-1, R-2, MF, or the B-1 Districts.
14.2.2 
Hotels, motels, bed and breakfast houses.
14.2.3 
Parking lots and garages.
14.2.4 
Automobile and manufactured housing sales.
14.2.5 
Gas stations.
14.2.6 
Shopping centers.
14.2.7 
Bus stations.
14.2.8 
Farm implement sales and service.
14.2.9 
Produce markets.
14.2.10 
Secondhand goods store or pawn shops.
14.2.11 
Swimming pool, commercial or sales.
14.2.12 
Veterinary hospital/boarding.
14.2.13 
Warehouses/building materials.
14.2.14 
Health care facilities.
14.2.15 
Uses as listed in Section 18 of this ordinance.

§ 14.3 Permitted Specific Uses.

The following specific uses shall be permitted in a B-2 District, when granted in accordance with Section 25:
14.3.1 
Building materials storage.
14.3.2 
Tattoo or body piercing parlors.
14.3.3 
Outdoor advertising-billboards.
14.3.4 
Other uses as listed in Section 18 of this ordinance.

§ 14.4 Height and Area Regulations.

Minimum lot area shall be the equivalent of 1-1/2 the total floor area of the building;
Front Yard - minimum 25'.
Side Yard - minimum 5' from streets and alleys.
Rear Yard - minimum 10' measured from center line of alley or property line (in absence of alley).
Lot width - minimum 50'.

§ 14.5 Parking Requirements.

Off-street parking requirements shall be provided in accordance with Section 20.
