§ 22

ZONING UPON ANNEXATION.

All territory hereafter annexed into the Town shall be temporarily classified as Agricultural (A) district until permanent zoning is established by the Council. The procedure for establishing permanent zoning on annexed territory shall conform to the procedure established by law for the adoption of original zoning regulations.
In an area temporarily classified as Agricultural district:
1. 
No person shall erect, construct or continue with the construction of any structure or add to any structure or cause the same to be accomplished in any newly annexed territory to the Town without first obtaining a building permit or certificate of occupancy from the Town.
2. 
No permit for the construction of a building or use of land shall be issued by the Building Inspector other than a permit which will allow for the construction of a building that is allowed in the Agricultural (A) district.
3. 
The Council may act on the application for permanent zoning and annexation simultaneously.
