23.1 Issuance of Permit:
No building whose actual construction or alteration commences after such effective date of the ordinance from which the change was derived shall be used, occupied or changed in use until a permit shall be issued under existing rules, regulations and ordinances of the Town and upon the payment of the fees there required. The Town reserves the right, however, by separate ordinances to promulgate additional rules relative to certificates of occupancy and similar requirements, and no buildings shall be constructed or altered except in accordance with the requirements of any such ordinance.
23.2 Application for Certificate of Occupancy/Certificate of Occupancy Required:
After the adoption of this ordinance, certificates of occupancy shall be applied for coincident with the application for building permit, and shall be issued within ten days after the erection or structural alteration of such building shall have been completed in conformity with the provisions of pertinent statutes and ordinances. Such buildings may not be occupied until a certificate of occupancy is issued. A record of all certificates shall be furnished on request to any person having a proprietary or tenancy interest in the building affected.
