CONSERVATION DISTRICT CN
Conservation District CN is established to prevent the construction upon or alteration of environments which have natural conditions susceptible to flooding or erosion, because of soil, slope, geological condition, vegetation or an intereaction between the aforesaid which makes such lands unsuitable for urban development. Further, this district is established to protect areas of the environment that, if altered, would lead to problems in health, pollution and environmental deterioration. Conservation District CN will also insure adequate areas for future conservation and recreation pursuits. Certain agricultural uses are permitted. All land uses must comply with the Covington Floodplain Ordinance (chapter 6, article III of this Code of Ordinances).
In Conservation District CN, any building to be erected or land to be used shall be for one or more of the following uses:

Agriculture, as defined in article III.
(2-2)
Public or private parks or recreation areas.
(2-3)
Public or private cemeteries.
(2-4)
Conservation uses, including drainage control, forestry, wildlife sanctuaries and facilities for making same available and useful to the public.

Golf courses and driving ranges.
(2-6)
Plant nurseries.
(2-7)
Public utility rights-of-way.
(2-8)
Railroad rights-of-way.
(2-9)
Bicycle and pedestrian paths and trails.

The following uses are permitted upon application to the city council and subject to conditions established by it as outlined in article XVIII, section 8:

No building shall be placed on the lot closer than 30 feet from the centerline of any street adjoining the property.
(5-2)
Permitted uses with buildings on them shall insure that a ten-foot yard is maintained on any side adjoining a residential district.
