ARTICLE XI

TRANSITIONAL USES

Sec. 30-161.- Transitional uses.

Within an R-S and R-S-O District upon any lot, a side lot line of which abuts a C District, the board of adjustment may permit a two-family dwelling, a multiple-family dwelling or row houses or townhouses. The height and area regulations as set forth in the R-M District regulations shall apply to such transitional uses. Within the R-S and R-S-O Districts upon any lot, a side lot line of which abuts an I District, the board of adjustment may permit any use permitted in the R-M District regulations, which use shall comply with the height and area regulations as set forth in the R-M District regulations.

Sec. 30-162. - Restrictions.

No transitional area shall extend along the street frontage a distance greater than the width of one lot, and in no event shall it extend a distance greater than one hundred (100) feet from the district boundary of the less restricted district except that if the lot upon which the transitional use is to be located has a width greater than one hundred (100) feet but less than one hundred fifty (150) feet, the transitional use may be extended throughout the entire width of the lot.
