ARTICLE V

- R-S-O SINGLE-FAMILY AND OCCUPATIONS DISTRICT

Sec. 30-66.- Use regulations.

A building or premises shall be used only for the following purposes:

Any use permitted in the R-S District. Residential use of temporary structures and mobile homes is prohibited except as provided in sections 30-176 and 30-177.

Professions, occupations and activities carried on by resident members of the family living on the premises and not more than one employee not a member of the family that resides on the premises, provided that:

(1)

There shall be no outside storage, display of merchandise or parking of vehicles in the area of the required front and side yard;

(2)

Not less than thirty (30) per cent of the floor area of the principal structure on the premises shall be used for residential purposes;

(3)

There shall be no outdoor lighting, except that normally used on a residential premises,

(4)

There shall be no signs or billboards, except non-illuminated, having an area of less than thirty-two (32) square feet, attached to, parallel to, not extending above, and not extending a distance in excess of six (6) inches from an exterior wall of the principal structure;

(5)

The total floor area of any nonresidential use or uses housed in a structure or structures shall not exceed two thousand four hundred (2,400) square feet;

(6)

There shall be no emission of smoke, dust and other airborne particulate matter, fumes, odor, glare, heat or vibration from or as the result of any nonresidential activity into the atmosphere or that can be detected at any point beyond the premises upon which the nonresidential activity is conducted; and

(7)

There shall be no emission of noise by or as the result of any nonresidential use that is a nuisance to the occupants of or adversely affects the use or value of any adjoining private or public property.

Sec. 30-67. - Height regulations.

The height regulations are the same as those in the R-S District regulations.

Sec. 30-68. - Area regulations.

The area regulations are the same as those in the R-S District regulations except that the required minimum front yard is fifteen (15) feet.

Sec. 30-69. - Parking regulations.

Off-street parking spaces shall be provided in accordance with the requirements for specific uses set forth in section 30-226.
