165.28 DWELLING

AND PROPERTY OCCUPATION.

   1.   Any business of permitted use conducted at the residential dwelling in which one lives, or at any other structure on the same premises, shall not deface and/or alter the dwelling, property and accessory structures to appear anything other than a home and residential property. The dwelling must be lived in by the proprietor of the business.
   2.   The dwelling and accessory buildings shall not have storefront-style windows to display products or merchandise, nor shall such products be visible to the exterior in any way.
   3.   The dwelling and property occupation shall not be a nuisance to neighbors with undesirable sight, excessive sound, smell or air pollution nor cause traffic congestion.
   4.   All who maintain a dwelling and property occupation must apply annually for a permit to be signed and approved by the Zoning Administrator. This permit may be revoked at any time by the Zoning Administrator if the dwelling and property occupation ordinance is not strictly adhered to by the owner of the business.
   5.   In the event the owner of the business is renting the property and dwelling, the owner of the property must authorize the execution of such permit.
