65 - HZ HOSPITAL ZONE DISTRICT
Sections:
The purpose of the HZ district shall be to provide an area for the exclusive use of hospitals and auxiliary and accessory uses and structures, to create a zone in which this type of land use may be engaged in as a permitted use of property, free of conflicts with other types of land uses permitted or conditionally permitted in districts in which hospitals constitute special permit land uses.

Use of land and structures in this district for a hospital shall be permitted. For purposes of this chapter, "Hospital" shall mean such a facility as is described in the definition set forth at Section 17.04.020 of this code, further described as any facility whose primary purpose is the diagnosis, treatment and care of the sick or injured on an inpatient basis.

Clinics, consisting of offices, examination rooms and adjunct facilities as and for physicians and other health care providers, owned by or associated with a hospital including, but not limited to, outpatient treatment facilities, medical clinics, wellness center, cafe, gift shops, chapel, heliport, staff quarters, emergency medical service (EMS), pharmacies and uses that benefit patients and may be located on properties subject to this chapter.
