56 - OFF-STREET LOADING AND UNLOADING
Every lot on which a business, trade or industry use is established after the effective date of the ordinance codified, at this title, which ordinance was adopted July 28, 1980, shall provide space as indicated in this chapter for the loading and unloading of vehicles off the street or public alley.

Such space as is contemplated in Section 17.56.010 shall have access to an alley or, if there is no alley, to a street.

For the purpose of this chapter, an off-street loading space shall have minimum dimensions of twelve feet by forty feet.

Required space, as contemplated in Section 17.56.010, shall be considered as follows:
A.
Retail business: one space for each ten thousand square feet of gross floor area;
B.
Wholesale and industry: one space for each fifteen thousand square feet of gross floor area;
C.
Truck terminals: Sufficient space to accommodate the maximum number of trucks to be stored or to be loading or unloading at the terminal at any one time.
