The purpose of GC district is to establish and set aside areas for golf courses and various uses ancillary to a golf course.

A.

The following uses are permitted in the GC district provided they are an integral part of a golf course and are built simultaneously with or after the golf course:

1.

Banquet facilities;

2.

Cart storage;

3.

Clubhouse inclusive of bars, locker rooms, pro shops and restaurants;

4.

Driving ranges;

5.

Golf courses and golf course offices;

6.

Health club;

7.

Maintenance buildings;

8.

Ramadas;

9.

Restroom buildings;

10.

Sales office for the subdivision for which the golf course is a part;

11.

Snack and beverage bars or carts;

12.

Swimming pools;

13.

Tennis courts;

14.

Other ancillary and recreation uses deemed similar.

A.

The development standards set forth below shall apply to the GC district:

1.

The minimum size of the golf course shall be thirty acres and have a minimum of nine holes.

2.

All buildings shall be located a minimum of fifty feet from any residential property lines.

3.

All outdoor lighting shall be directed away from residential properties.

4.

Any public address system or device used for sound amplification shall be of sound intensity not greater than forty-five decibels as measured at any residential property lines.

5.

All maintenance equipment, supplies and other similar items shall be stored within an area completely enclosed by a screening device as required by Chapter 17.48 of this code.

6.

All primary and ancillary buildings shall have landscaping around their perimeter as required by Chapter 17.48 of this code.

The off-street parking provisions of Chapter 17.44 shall apply in the GC district.

The uses in the GC district shall be considered commercial and as such the commercial sign provisions of Chapter 17.42 shall apply in the GC district.

The refuse collection provisions of Section 17.06.070 shall apply in the GC district.
