Lovell City Zoning Code

ARTICLE 26

01 - Legislative Findings

Sections:

Section 26-01-010 - Findings.

The town council of the Town of Lovell finds that the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of Lovell will be best served by the regulations of construction and building in order to accomplish the statutorily authorized (W.S. 15-01-703 of 177) purposes of:

(a)

Lessening congestion in the streets;

(b)

Securing safety from fire, panic and other dangers;

(c)

Providing adequate light and air;

(d)

Preventing the overcrowding of land;

(e)

Avoiding undue concentration of population; and

(f)

Facilitating the provision of public services and facilities.

The council further finds that the master plan of October 3, 1977, as amended, serves as a sufficient basis for this chapter under the provisions of W.S. 15-1-701 and that the public hearings required in W.S. 15-01-706 and 15-1-704 have been held, giving all parties at interest and citizens an opportunity for involvement in the formation of this chapter.

(Ord. No. 621, Enacted, 3/7/83)

Section 26-01-020 - Adoption.

Now, in light of the above findings, the council does hereby resolve to adopt the zoning ordinance codified in this chapter pursuant to the authority contained in the Wyoming Statutes 15-1-701 to 15-1-707 of 1977.
