17 - Zoning of Additions.

Section 26-17-010 - Commission action.

Upon receipt of a petition or proposal for annexation to the town, the commission shall examine the area proposed to be annexed and determine:

(a)

Its suitability for addition to the town in light of the finding required by W.S. 15-1-402.

(b)

The zoning district into which the addition should be made in light of the existing and adjoining land uses, street and utility capacities, and other factors.

Section 26-17-020 - Public hearing.

The commission shall hold a public hearing on all proposed additions. The public hearing shall be preceded by twenty days' notice in the official newspaper.

Section 26-17-030 - Certification to council.

Following the public hearing the commission shall submit a recommendation to the council recommending for or against the proposed annexation and certifying the appropriate change in the official zoning map to include the addition, if annexed.
