1.
Short title: This Ordinance [section] shall be known and may be cited as Mangonia Park Residential Landscape and Parking Code.
2.
The objective of this Ordinance [section] is to improve the appearance of certain set back and yard areas, including off-street motor vehicle parking and to protect and preserve the appearance, character and value of the surrounding neighbors and thereby promote the general welfare by providing for installation and maintenance of landscaping and parking areas.
3.
This Ordinance [section] shall be a minimum standard and shall apply to all RE and R-1 zoning districts within the town limits.
4.
No building permit shall be issued for a dwelling structure in a residential district of a RE and R-1 unless the following minimum requirements are met:
a.
Every parcel of land situated within the residential districts of RE and R-1 shall be landscaped with, at a minimum, grass cover or with any of the following materials or combinations thereof such as, but not limited to grass, ground covers, shrubs, vines, hedges, trees and palms and other material such as rocks, pebbles, sand walls or fences and decorative paving materials if approved and as approved by the town building inspector.
b.
Every parcel of land situated within the residential districts of RE and R-1 shall provide at least two (2) off-street parking spaces for each dwelling structure. Each space shall consist of the minimum dimensions of ten (10) feet in width by twenty (20) feet in length.
5.
An applicant, for a building permit in a RE or R-1 district, shall submit detailed plans of the proposed landscaping and parking and must obtain approval of the town building inspector prior to being issued a building permit. The town building inspector shall have the discretion to approve or deny plans taking into consideration the intent of this section.
6.
The penalty for noncompliance with this Ordinance [section] is as set forth in Section 22 of Appendix A: Zoning of the Code of Mangonia Park, Florida.
7.
This Ordinance [section] may be enforced by the duly authorized officials under the rules and regulations established by and for the Town of Mangonia Park, Florida.
