Any variance or special exception shall expire within six (6) months from the date of approval, unless a building permit based upon and incorporating the variance or special exception has been issued within the six (6) month period. The Town Council may grant additional six (6) month extensions of the variance or special exception upon the submittal to the Town Clerk of the request for extension by the applicant on forms prescribed by the Town prior to the expiration of the initial six (6) months or a previously granted extension.
