- Administrative and professional district.
1.
Purpose: This district is intended to accommodate those nonresidential uses of an administrative or professional nature which are necessary to the normal conduct of a community's activities. It is specifically designed, however, to prohibit the introduction of commercial establishments of a retail nature, or other activities which require the constant visits of the general public.

Uses Permitted: In the administrative and professional district, no building, structure or land shall be used and no building or structure shall be hereafter erected, converted, or structurally altered, unless otherwise provided in this code except for one (1) or more of the following uses:
a)
Offices of Surgeons, Physicians, Dentists, and Medical Clinics.
b)
Offices of Architects, Engineers, and Artists.
c)
Offices of Executive, Administrative, Legal, Writing, Clerical, Stenographic, Accounting, Insurance, Real Estate, Mortgage Loan Service, and Similar Enterprises.
3.
Uses Permitted as Special Exceptions: The following uses shall be permitted in this district as special exceptions to be granted by the Town Planning and Zoning Board under the provision of this Ordinance:
a)
All special exception uses are set forth in the SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT REGULATIONS.
4.
Lot and Building Requirements and Standards:
a)
Minimum lot size, 20,000 square feet
b)
Minimum lot width, 200 feet
c)
Maximum lot coverage, 60% Interior lot, 50% Corner lot
d)
Minimum front yard, 20 feet
e)
Minimum side yard, 10 feet
f)
Minimum rear yard, 20 feet
g)
Maximum building height, two (2) stories or 25 feet
h)
Minimum distance between buildings, 20 feet
i)
All parking areas shall be designed, paved and located so as to meet the requirements of Section 16 of this Ordinance. All points of access shall be to a public street; however, there shall be no public streets or alleys within the development. All loading and unloading shall be done on the premises.
j)
The administrative and professional district shall be permanently screened from adjoining and contiguous residential districts by a masonry or concrete block wall of a minimum height of six (6) feet, with suitable ventilation and painted on both sides if determined necessary by site plan review. The Town may waive the requirement for a screening wall if equivalent screening is provided by existing parks, parkways, recreation areas or by topography or other natural conditions.
k)
Areas used by motor vehicles shall be physically separated from public streets by a buffer strip or other effective and suitable barrier against unchanneled motor vehicles access or egress, and shall not have more than two (2) accessways to any one public street, such accessways to be located a safe distance of at least two hundred (200) feet from the intersection of any street right-of-way lines, unless unusual circumstances demonstrate the need for additional access points or lesser minimum distances.
