- B-3 CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT
Within all B-3 central business districts, as shown on the official zoning map, the following regulations shall apply:
[In a B-3 central business district, only the following uses of property shall be permitted:]
1.
Any businesses permitted in B-1; all businesses not specifically restricted or prohibited.
Amusement enterprises, including bowling alleys; skating rinks, and pool rooms;
Business schools;
Hotels and motels;
Bus and railway stations;
Retail businesses where articles are sold at retail on the premises;
Storage;
Service stations;
New and used auto sales;
Tire sales and service;
Auto parts sales;
Grocery stores;
Department stores;
Dress shops;
Clothing stores;
Furniture stores;
Gift shops;
Hardware stores;
General merchandise stores;
Office equipment sales;
Housing sales;
Electrical supply stores;
Hobby shops;
Taxicab company;
Dry goods stores;
Ice cream stands;
Snack bars;
Snowball stands;
Radio and television stations;
Newsstands;
Funeral homes; and
Mental health clinics.
2.
Uses similar in character to those listed above.
Animal hospitals; building material yards; freight terminals and bulk fuel storage [are prohibited].
None [are] required.
Dwellings hereafter constructed in the B-3 central business district must comply with the area and yard regulations of the R-3 residential district.
All other permitted uses in the B-3 central business district shall comply with the following area regulations:
Front yards ..... No front yard required
Rear yards .....20 ft.
Side yards ..... Not required
However, where side yards are provided, such side yards shall be not less than three feet.
Off-street parking is not required.
See article 4 for loading and unloading requirements [of this appendix].
