16.12.130 Community

Reserve District CR

Purpose: To reserve, for a limited time, lands obviously required for future public facilities as set forth in the Official GENERAL PLAN of the community. It is not the intention of this section to deprive the owners of property in this District of a fair price or return from a sale of any such property, but to encourage only temporary use of it until such time that the public agency concerned is able to acquire it for its planned purpose. If, within a reasonable time, the appropriate public agency declares its inability to acquire such property, then the owner, the Commission, or the Council may initiate a change in the district in accordance with The GENERAL PLAN and the recommendations of the Commission.
Primary Permitted Uses:
1. All uses permitted in A or F District.
Accessory Uses Permitted:
1. All uses permitted in A or F District.
Conditional Uses:
1. Commercial recreational facilities including golf driving range, riding academy, rod and gun club, picnic and dance areas, outdoor theaters, providing all buildings and structures are of a temporary or portable nature.
2. Private airports and landing strips.
3. Temporary uses including circus, carnival, tent revival and the like.
4. Equipment and materials storage yards, provided these are enclosed on all sides by a solid fence not less than eight (8) feet high.
