§ 35-127.7

Signs.

a. 
Identification sign. A permanent identification sign at the entrance to a development shall be permitted having a maximum sign area of up to 24 square feet and a maximum height of eight feet.
b. 
Building identification and wayfinding. Building locator and wayfinding signs shall be permitted to be attached to a building without restriction provided that the maximum area of any such sign is eight square feet per sign and no such sign is placed above the first floor level. Such signs shall be permitted for all residential buildings and for all other permitted facilities on the site.
c. 
Sight distances. Permanent signs shall not be located within required sight distances at driveway or street intersections triangles.
d. 
Sign setback. Minimum sign setback to property line: three feet.
e. 
Sign illumination. Exterior illumination of signs shall be permitted. No flashing or moving lights shall be permitted.
f. 
Directional signs. There shall be no limitation on the number of directional signs that shall be permitted within the development, provided such signs are shown on the approved site plan. Directional signs, except for those with designs that are controlled by the Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), may also have content (copy or graphics) related to the residential use.
g. 
Temporary signs. Temporary sales, directional signs and construction vehicular movement signs shall be permitted as needed with a maximum area of eight square feet per sign except that one temporary two-sided sales sign having a maximum area of 20 square feet shall be permitted at the site entrance, within three feet of the property line, but outside of any required sight distance.
