§ 35-127.10

Street Trees and Landscaping.

a. 
Shade trees. Shade trees shall be planted along all streets, driveways, and within surface parking lots. Within surface parking lots, the tree planting rate shall be at least one tree for every five parking spaces. All new trees shall have a minimum caliper dimension of 2.5 inches. Along streets and internal roadways, shade trees shall be planted no less than 40 feet on-center.
b. 
Plantings. All areas of the site not covered by buildings or pavement shall be attractively planted with shrubs, trees, lawns and herbaceous/perennial plantings to enhance the use and appearance of outdoor open spaces, including the publicly accessible outdoor open spaces; and to soften views of the buildings from off-site.
c. 
Irrigation. All planted areas and lawns shall be irrigated. Trees shall be irrigated using drip emitters rather than spray heads.
