—Accessory dwelling units are permitted in the B1 and C1 districts only on lots with a legal or legal nonconforming single-family dwelling.
NOTES:
1.
The purpose of a single-family dwelling in a mixed use building complex within the M1 zoning district is to allow for a dwelling unit for a caretaker, and/or watchman and their family.
2.
Backyard chickens are approved as an accessory use for residential and school uses in the T-1, B-1, C-1, P and DR zoning districts.
3.
Beekeeping is approved as an accessory use for residential and school uses in the T-1, B-1, C-1 and DR zoning districts.
4.
Any use that is not specifically permitted, or permitted by special use review, in a particular zone district, shall be prohibited in such zone district, unless the planning director determines that (i) the proposed use is not specifically addressed and allowed in other zone districts; and (ii) the proposed use is sufficiently similar to a designated use that is otherwise allowed (by right or special use review) in the zone district proposed for the use, such that the location of the use in that district would be consistent with the provisions of this Chapter 26.
5.
Per section 26-22.5, of the Code base stations, alternative tower structures and small cell facilities, and towers not in the right-of-way are special uses and base stations, alternative tower structures and small cell facilities within the right-of-way, and "eligible facilities" are permitted uses.
6.
Miniature pot-bellied pigs and miniature goats are approved as an accessory use for residential and school uses in the T-1, B-1, C-1 and DR zoning districts.
7.
The total number of backyard chickens, as permitted in section 25-99 of this chapter and Table 26-A of chapter 26 of the Code, and miniature goats and potbellied pigs, as permitted in section 25-101 of this chapter and Table 26-A of chapter 26 of the Code, and household pets, as permitted in section 25-98.5(1) of this chapter and Table 26-A of chapter 26 of the Code, per residence or school shall not exceed ten (10).
8.
Short-term rentals are permitted under the limitations and standards listed in section 26-14-22 and article V of chapter 55 of this Code.
9.
Natural medicine healing centers, natural medicine cultivation facilities, natural medicine products manufacturers, and natural medicine testing facilities are permitted under the limitations and standards in section 26-22.7 of this Code.

—Accessory dwelling units are permitted in the B1 and C1 districts only on lots with a legal or legal nonconforming single-family dwelling.
NOTES:
1.
The purpose of a single-family dwelling in a mixed use building complex within the M1 zoning district is to allow for a dwelling unit for a caretaker, and/or watchman and their family.
2.
Backyard chickens are approved as an accessory use for residential and school uses in the T-1, B-1, C-1, P and DR zoning districts.
3.
Beekeeping is approved as an accessory use for residential and school uses in the T-1, B-1, C-1 and DR zoning districts.
4.
Any use that is not specifically permitted, or permitted by special use review, in a particular zone district, shall be prohibited in such zone district, unless the planning director determines that (i) the proposed use is not specifically addressed and allowed in other zone districts; and (ii) the proposed use is sufficiently similar to a designated use that is otherwise allowed (by right or special use review) in the zone district proposed for the use, such that the location of the use in that district would be consistent with the provisions of this Chapter 26.

Per section 26-22.5, of the Code base stations, alternative tower structures and small cell facilities, and towers not in the right-of-way are special uses and base stations, alternative tower structures and small cell facilities within the right-of-way, and "eligible facilities" are permitted uses.
6.
Miniature pot-bellied pigs and miniature goats are approved as an accessory use for residential and school uses in the T-1, B-1, C-1 and DR zoning districts.
7.
The total number of backyard chickens, as permitted in section 25-99 of this chapter and Table 26-A of chapter 26 of the Code, and miniature goats and potbellied pigs, as permitted in section 25-101 of this chapter and Table 26-A of chapter 26 of the Code, and household pets, as permitted in section 25-98.5(1) of this chapter and Table 26-A of chapter 26 of the Code, per residence or school shall not exceed ten (10).
8.
Short-term rentals are permitted under the limitations and standards listed in section 26-14-22 and article V of chapter 55 of this Code.
9.
Natural medicine healing centers, natural medicine cultivation facilities, natural medicine products manufacturers, and natural medicine testing facilities are permitted under the limitations and standards in section 26-22.7 of this Code.
