ARTICLE XIV

M-2, GENERAL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT

SECTION 14.00 - PURPOSE

The M-2, General Industrial District is intended to accommodate M-1-A District uses and to permit certain industrial uses whose operations require the use of raw materials.

SECTION 14.01 - PRINCIPAL USES PERMITTED

Any lawful industrial use of land or buildings not herein expressly prohibited or provided for shall be lawful use in all M-2 Districts, including:

A.

Any use of land or buildings permitted in an M-1-A District.

B.

Bulk and terminal storage of gasoline, oil and petroleum products, subject to review and approval by the Planning commission pursuant to Section 18.02.

C.

Certain Limited Marihuana Establishments.

SECTION 14.02 - PROHIBITED USES

In all M-2 Districts, no building shall be erected or altered and no land shall be used for the carrying on the manufacturing activities, the character of, or similar to, tanneries, slaughter houses, stock yards, glue factories, soap factories, oil refineries, drop forging, or other factories or uses the normal operation of which produce or cause a nuisance factor.

SECTION 14.03 - PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Any use established after the effective date of the ordinance shall be operated so as to comply with the performance standards set forth in Section 12.04.

SECTION 14.04 - AREA AND BULK REQUIREMENTS

See ARTICLE XVI, "SCHEDULE OF REGULATIONS" limiting the height and bulk of buildings, the minimum size of lot permitted by land use, and the minimum yard setback requirements.
