ARTICLE VII

MH, MOBILE HOME PARK DISTRICT

SECTION 7.00 - PURPOSE

The purpose of the MH, Mobile Home Park District is to provide a suitable environment for persons and families that, by preference, choose to live in a manufactured housing community rather than a traditional neighborhood setting. In keeping with the design characteristics of contemporary manufactured housing developments, this Article incorporates by reference those standards established by the state of Michigan.

SECTION 7.01 - PRINCIPAL USES PERMITTED

A.

Homes, as defined by Section 1, (n) of Rule 101, Part 1 of the General Rules of the state of Michigan Manufactured Housing Commission.

B.

One office building to be used exclusively for conducting the business operation of the mobile home park.

C.

Utility buildings for laundry facilities and auxiliary storage space for mobile home tenants.

D.

Community buildings for use by the tenants of the mobile home park as well as recreation areas and playgrounds.

SECTION 7.02 - LOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A.

All mobile home parks shall have direct access to a paved major thoroughfare.

SECTION 7.03 - AREA AND BULK REQUIREMENTS

Mobile home parks shall be constructed in accordance with the requirements of the Mobile Home Commission Act, State Public Act 96 of 1987, as amended, and the state Manufactured Housing Commission General Rules.
