In the construction of this chapter, the present tense shall include the future, the singular number shall include the plural and the plural the singular. The word "shall" is always used in its mandatory and not its permissive sense. The word "used" shall include the words "arranged, designed or intended to be used." Whenever a term or word used in this chapter is not specifically defined in this section, but is defined in the Municipal Land Use Law, c.291, P.L. 1975, such term or word shall be given the meaning set forth in the definition of same as found in said law, unless a different meaning is clearly indicated from the context of this chapter.
