P PRESERVATION DISTRICT
The P Preservation District is intended for those areas designated within the P Preservation land use category on the future land use maps. This includes all property seaward of the Florida Coastal Construction Control Line and the mangrove island in Little McPherson Bayou. It is the purpose and intent of this section to safeguard these areas from inappropriate development so that they may benefit all residents of the city.

Use of property within a designated preservation area shall be limited to activities that do not require alteration of the land from its natural state. On that portion of the designated preservation area that is beach, dune walkovers may be permanently constructed with the approval of the city, and limited recreational equipment may be temporarily placed on the beaches.
