B-2 GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT

§ 1 B-2 GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT.

The regulations set forth in this Section or set forth elsewhere in this Ordinance when referred to in this Section are the regulations in the B-2 General Business District.

§ 2 USE REGULATIONS.

Premises shall have a primary building which has been issued a certificate of occupancy by the city. Building and premises shall be used only for the following purposes:
a. 
Any use permitted in the B-1 Local Business District
b. 
Automatic automobile wash
c. 
Automobile, truck, manufactured housing, boat or trailer display, rental and sales room or lot
d. 
Bakery
e. 
Bowling alley
f. 
Bus terminal or vehicle rental business
g. 
Filling station (gas station and or electronic vehicle charging stations)
h. 
Frozen food locker
i. 
Farm implements display and sales room or lot
j. 
Lumber yard
k. 
Milk distributing station
l. 
Radio or television broadcasting station or studio
m. 
Roadside stands for the sales of farm products or other products with a permit from city
n. 
Any other general service or repair establishment of similar character.
o. 
Animal clinic or kennels with outside runs and/or pens
p. 
Dyeing and cleaning establishment or laundry
q. 
Painting, heating or plumbing shop
r. 
Tire sales, service, retreading and vulcanizing
s. 
Upholstering and furniture repair shop, not involving furniture manufacturing
t. 
Vehicle care facility
u. 
Garagekeeper (mechanics, paint and body shops)
v. 
Vehicle storage facility with special use permit
w. 
Wrecker service office only with special use permit

§ 3 HEIGHT AND AREA REGULATIONS.

The following height and area regulations shall be observed. See also Section XXII - Height and Area Exceptions and Modifications.

*No side yard required for nonresidential buildings except that on a lot abutting a residential district or side street there shall be a side yard of not less than 7-1/2 feet. Side yard for dwellings shall be not less than 5 feet.

§ 4 PARKING AND LOADING REGULATIONS.

Off-street parking and loading spaces shall be provided following the requirements for specific uses outlined in Section XXIII.

§ 5 EXTERIOR FACADE CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS.

Exterior Facade Construction Requirements and Standards shall be provided following the requirements outlined in Chapter 3, Building Regulations, Article 3.10.
