SECTION XVII

B-3 CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT

§ 1 B-3 CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT.

The regulations set forth in this Section or set forth elsewhere in this Ordinance when referred to in this Section are the regulations in the B-3 Central Business District.

§ 2 USE REGULATIONS.

A building or premises shall be used only for the following purposes:
a. 
Any use permitted in the B-2 General Business District but without restrictions on number of employees.
b. 
The following uses:
i. 
Bottling Works
ii. 
Bus terminal and adjacent bus repair shop
iii. 
Candy manufacture
iv. 
Cleaning and dyeing plant
v. 
Clothing manufacture
vi. 
Creamery and dairy operation
vii. 
Ice cream manufacturer
viii. 
Ice plant
ix. 
Jewelry manufacturer
x. 
Laundry
xi. 
Printing, publishing or engraving plant
xii. 
Storage and retail sales of building materials
xiii. 
Testing and research laboratory
xiv. 
Truck Terminal

§ 3 HEIGHT AND AREA REGULATIONS.

The following height and area regulations shall be observed. See also Section XXII - HEIGHT AND AREA EXCEPTIONS AND MODIFICATIONS.

*Side yard for dwellings shall be not less than five (5) feet. For commercial buildings abutting a residential district there shall be a side yard of not less than five (5) feet.
**For residential buildings or commercial buildings abutting a residential zoning district, there shall be a rear yard of not less than twenty (20) feet.

§ 4 PARKING AND LOADING REGULATIONS.

Off-street loading spaces shall be provided in accordance with the provisions of Section XXIII.

§ 5 EXTERIOR FACADE CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS.

Exterior Facade Construction Requirements and Standards shall be provided following the requirements outlined in Chapter 3, Building Regulations, Article 3.10.
