17.44 ZONES
GENERALLY
17.44.010 ESTABLISHMENT OF ZONES
For the purpose of this title, the following zones are created to be applied as necessary to regulate the development of the land in Smithfield, Utah:

| RA | Residential agricultural zone |
| R-1 | Single-family residential zone |
| RM | Multiple-family residential zone |
| MU | Mixed-Use Overlay Zone |
| CB | Central business district zone |
| CC | Community commercial zone |
| GC | General commercial zone |
| M-1 | Manufacturing zone |
| I-1 | Institutional zone |
| Gateway | Gateway overlay zone |
| Airport | Airport limitation overlay zones |
| PUD | Planned Unit Development Overlay Zone |
| MPC | Master Planned Community |
17.44.020 BOUNDARIES OF ZONES
The boundaries of each of the said zones are established as described in this title or shown on the map entitled "Zoning Map Of Smithfield, Utah", which map is attached to the ordinance codified in this title and found on file in the office of the city recorder and all boundaries, notations and other data shown thereon are made by this reference as much a part of this title as if fully described and detailed herein.
17.44.030 FILING OF ORDINANCE AND MAP
The ordinance codified herein and map adopted by reference shall be filed in the custody of the city recorder of Smithfield, Utah, and may be examined by the public subject to any reasonable regulations established by the Smithfield recorder.
17.44.040 RULES FOR LOCATING BOUNDARIES
Where uncertainty exists as to the boundary of any zone, the rules of SMC 17.04.050 of this title shall apply.
