165.04 OFFICIAL

ZONING MAP.

The City of Clear Lake is hereby divided into zoning districts as shown on the City’s Official Zoning Map in order to classify, regulate and restrict the location of trades, industries and the location of buildings designed for specified uses; to regulate and limit the height and use of buildings hereafter erected or structurally altered; to regulate and limit the intensity of use and the lot areas; and to regulate and determine the areas of yards, courts and other open spaces surrounding such buildings.  Together with all explanatory matter thereon, it is hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this chapter.  If, in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, changes are made in zoning boundaries or other matter portrayed on the Official Zoning Map, such changes shall be entered on the Official Zoning Map promptly after the amendment has been approved by the governing body, with an entry on the Official Zoning Map as follows:
“On    (date)  , by official action of the City Council, the following change(s) were made in the Official Zoning Map:  (brief description).
No amendment to this chapter which involves matters portrayed on the Official Zoning Map shall become effective until after such change and entry has been made on said map.
