17.021.020 Permitted uses.
In the R-2 zone, the following uses only are permitted as hereafter specially provided for by this section and subject to the general provisions and exceptions set forth in Chapters 17.102 and 17.105.
A. Single family dwellings;
B. Duplexes and triplexes pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 17.121;
C. Accessory private lath houses or greenhouses used for the propagating and cultivating of plants for hobby and home use only;
D. Tree, orchard and/or vegetable gardening for occupants' use only;
G. Short-term rentals and homestays limited to detached single-family homes (see Chapter 17.113).

17.021.030 Uses requiring conditional use permits.
A. Public utility buildings and, structures;
B. Public buildings, churches, schools, parks, playgrounds, hospitals, family care facilities, outdoor recreation facilities;
C. Dwelling groups of two or three separate units;
D. Other similar uses deemed to be compatible to the R-2 zone and adjacent land uses.
