Signs.

1.

Ground/monument signs.

a.

Shall have a base and framework made of brick or stone;

b.

Prohibited in the village tier;

c.

Maximum height: Six feet;

d.

Maximum size:

i.

Single retail, office or commercial tenant: 35 square feet;

ii.

Multiple tenant, retail office or commercial: 50 square feet.

2.

Wall signs main building.

a.

The combined area of any and all signage of any building or structure shall not exceed ten percent of the main building façade.

3.

Individual wall signs painted directly on recessed panels on the building façade.

a.

Flat/attached or signs painted on building façade

i.

Maximum size: 25 percent of wall area.

4.

Pole signs.

a.

Allowed only in the Historic District and Village tier;

b.

Shall be "L" Shaped";

c.

Constructed of wrought iron or wood;

d.

Maximum height: Ten feet in height and not overhang into the public right-of-way; and

e.

Maximum size: 16 square feet.

5.

Projecting signs.

a.

Mounted perpendicular to the building front;

b.

Maximum projection: Three feet;

c.

Minimum height: Eight feet;

d.

Placement: Two feet from ingress/egress; and

e.

Maximum size: Four square feet.

6.

Sidewalk signs.

a.

Maximum height: 3'6";

b.

Maximum size: Six feet;

c.

Material: Wood or metal;

d.

Temporary location: Five foot pedestrian access shall be maintained; and

e.

Maximum: One per business.

7.

Menu boxes.

a.

Maximum size: Four square feet; and

b.

Maximum: One per business.

8.

Dedication or historic preservation plaques.

a.

Maximum size: 10" × 12"; and

b.

Material: Metal or wood.

9.

Relief signs.

a.

Maximum size: Letter size two feet in height;

b.

Maximum: One replaces wall sign allowance; and

c.

Location: Façade or awning.

10.

Prohibited signs.

a.

Internally lit;

b.

Flashing, blinking, and rotating signs; and

c.

Rood signs.
