§ 25-9.12
Ramps for One-Family and Two-Family Dwellings.

The installation of wheelchair or other handicap access ramps shall be permitted in accordance with the following conditions:
a.
Handicap access ramps which are needed to facilitate access to dwellings in a residential zone in which a disabled person or persons reside are exempt from the setback requirements applicable to that zone.
b.
Where a handicap access ramp has been constructed which does not meet the setback requirements otherwise applicable, the ramp may remain as long as the dwelling is occupied by a disabled person for whom the ramp will facilitate access. Access ramps shall be removed within 60 days from the date that the disabled person or persons no longer reside at the dwelling unless a variance is approved for the continuation of the access ramp.
c.
A zoning permit shall be required for the construction of a handicap access ramp.
