1.
Antenna support. Any mechanical or structural elements whose specific purpose is to support and maintain an antenna at an elevated point.
2.

The height of any antenna shall be measured from the mean grade of the surrounding terrain to a radius of 50 feet and up to and including the highest point of the antenna or antenna support, whichever is more elevated. Heights shall be measured from mean grade ground level regardless of whether or not the antenna support is mounted on an existing structure or extends to ground level.
B.
All personal communications antennae as herein defined shall be considered accessory uses in all residential zones.
C.
The erection of any type of personal communication antenna for the transmission or reception of radio waves shall not exceed a height of 50 feet or any lower height limitation that may from time to time be prescribed by federal law for such radio service.
D.
Any personal communication antenna extending upward from the top of a building or from ground level shall be set back from every lot line a distance equal to its height above the building, if on a building, and a distance equal to its height from mean ground level, if free standing, so that a neighboring property will not be damaged in the event that a personal communication antenna falls.
E.
No personal communication antenna shall be placed closer than a distance equal to 120% of its height from any power line.
F.
The restrictions stated in sections (c) through (f) are applicable to all personal communication antenna construction which occurs after the adoption of this ordinance, as well as the replacement of any personal communication antenna which was originally installed prior to the passage of this ordinance.
G.
No personal communication antenna or antenna support located in the Township, regardless of when it was erected, shall be used as a sign or as a supporting structure for any sign or lettering.
