PRESERVATION
Millcreek recognizes that the historical heritage of the community is among its most valued and important assets. It is the intent of the City to identify, preserve, protect, and enhance historic neighborhoods, buildings, sites, monuments, streetscapes, and landmarks within the City deemed architecturally or historically significant. By protecting such historically significant sites and structures, they will be preserved for the use, observation, education, pleasure, and general welfare of the present and future residents of the City.
The City Council may amend the above list of Historic Sites and Districts, including designating additional Historic Sites, Structures, and Districts after review and recommendation by the Historic Preservation Commission and Planning Commission, following the procedure for a zoning map amendment as set forth in MKZ 18.15.010 (C).
Any person adversely affected by any final decision of the Historic Preservation Officer or the Planning Director in the administration of this chapter may appeal such decision to the Land Use Hearing Officer in accordance with MKZ 18.04, Appeals.
