Any business establishment may display one or more signs relating to its business. The maximum area of any single sign shall not exceed 24 square feet and the maximum area of all signs on a single lot shall not exceed 50 square feet. Within the Highway Commercial (HC) and Light Industrial (LI) Zones only, the maximum area of a single sign may be a maximum of 30 square feet in size, and total maximum area of all signs on the lot shall not exceed 62.5 square feet.
In the case of a shopping center or industrial park development, the maximum area of any single sign shall not exceed 24 square feet and the maximum area of all signs for each use located in the shopping center or industrial park shall not exceed 24 square feet.
The total area of all signs permitted on the face of any wall shall not exceed 5% of the area of the face of the wall, including windows and doors, upon which such signs are attached and the maximum height of any such sign shall not exceed 10% of the height of the wall, except that such sign can be at least two feet in height. The maximum width of any sign shall not exceed 50% of the width of the wall to which it is attached or 12 feet in width, whichever is less.
Where a sign extends more than three inches from the face of the wall, the bottom of such sign shall be at least eight feet above ground level. Signs overhanging any public or private walkway shall not extend more than three inches from the face of the wall to which it is attached.
One freestanding sign may be permitted on each lot, not exceeding 30 square feet in area. Shopping centers and multi-tenanted light industrial use shall be permitted to have one additional freestanding sign on each road frontage for the shopping center or multi-tenanted light industrial use, and the additional freestanding sign shall only list the shopping center or industrial park name and/or list the tenants, and shall be limited to four square feet per tenant or a maximum of 30 square feet, whichever is less. Within the Highway Commercial (HC) and Light Industrial (LI) Zones only, the maximum sign area shall be 37.5 square feet, or five square feet per tenant, whichever is less.
One internally illuminated sign designating the business as "open," provided the sign is an interior window sign, is no larger than four square feet, and provided the said sign is continuously lit and is not blinking, flashing, flickering, and/or using sequential lighting.
