50.080.- COMMERCIAL RECREATION, OUTDOOR

This section shall apply to commercial recreation, outdoor uses.

Outdoor commercial recreation uses shall be allowed as provided in the Matrix: Use Permissions and Parking Requirements and shall comply with the development standards of the zoning district, the general development standards and this section.

A.
The entire perimeter of all outdoor activity areas shall be screened with a solid fence or wall at least six-foot high or a building.
B.
The exterior of any fence or wall facing a street (not alley) and neighborhood zoning districts shall be landscaped as required for perimeter parking lots in the landscaping and irrigation section.
C.
Outdoor lighting shall be designed such that direct sources of illumination are not visible beyond the property lines. Lights shall be directed away from adjacent residential uses.
D.
Outdoor speakers and sound amplification shall not be permitted for uses adjacent to residential uses. All activities shall be subject to the standards of the noise pollution ordinance (chapter 11).
E.
All fences and nets shall comply with the height restrictions and design standards for fences or shall comply with the required building setbacks and height restrictions for the respective zoning district.

Loading areas shall be designed to accommodate peak-hour demand and to avoid vehicles queuing into the street.
