50.430.- UTILITY SUBSTATIONS AND STORAGE TANKS

This section shall apply to utility substation and storage tank uses.

This section is not intended to regulate or restrict the location of utility lines, poles, and related facilities, other than substations and storage tanks.

Utility substation and utility storage tank uses shall be allowed as provided in the Matrix: Use Permissions and Parking Requirements and shall comply with the development standards of the zoning district, the general development standards, this section, and, if applicable, the Florida Electric Power Plant Siting Act, (F.S. § 403.501 et seq.), and the Florida Electric Transmission Line Siting Act, (F.S. § 403.52 et seq.).

A.
A paved driveway apron shall be provided between the edge of the street and the property line. Interior drives on the site may be constructed with crushed shell, gravel, or a similar surface.
B.
A solid fence or wall at least five feet high shall be constructed around the perimeter of the property.
C.
The exterior of any fence or wall facing a street (not alley) shall be landscaped according to the landscaping and irrigation section.
D.
These uses shall be exempt from the restrictions for impervious surface and building height.
